In Türkiye, children starting school today are expected to study for about 17 years, but this depends a lot on where they live. In richer areas like Istanbul and Karabük, they may stay in school for up to 19 years. In poorer southeastern provinces like Şanlıurfa and Şırnak, the average is just over 14 years. This shows a serious gap in education between different parts of the country. Many children face a shorter time in school due to limited resources, fewer schools, and other local challenges. Gender inequality also remains a concern. While girls are now staying in school slightly longer than boys in some areas, many provinces still see lower schooling for girls. Some regions still lack enough support to help children stay in school longer. Although the gender equality index has improved slowly over the years, progress is uneven. The data highlights a need for more balanced investment and attention to make sure every child has a fair chance to learn and grow.

Pray for the Türkish government to take action to get rid of the gap in the education system in the nation. Pray for an improved education system in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 111:10).

Pray for all the children in Türkiye to have equal education opportunities, irrespective of the place where they live. Pray against the gender gap in the education system in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 33:20).
