WEST BANK: A senior official from the United Arab Emirates cautioned Israel on Tuesday that taking over the West Bank would cross a “red line” and would “end the vision of regional integration.” This warning came just two days before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to have an important meeting with his ministers about possibly moving forward with this controversial action.

Lana Nusseibeh, the Emirati special envoy, told The Times of Israel during an interview at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi that annexation is a red line for her government. She stated that it would mean no lasting peace, close off any chance for regional integration, and ultimately doom the two-state solution.

  • Lord, we pray for peace in the region, that leaders may choose dialogue over division. May they find wisdom in their decision-making, leading to harmony and understanding among nations (The Holy Bible, Micah 4:3).
  • Lord, we pray for your intervention in the ongoing conflict. Help all parties involved to recognize the value of coexistence and to pursue a just and lasting solution that honors the rights and aspirations of all people (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 4:6).
