Thailand is in a serious political crisis. In August, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra was removed by the Constitutional Court for acting unconstitutionally during a phone call with Cambodia’s former leader. This is the sixth time a Shinawatra family member has lost power in 17 years. After her removal, Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai became acting prime minister. But the country still has no permanent leader. The opposition People’s Party now holds a key role and demands changes, including a new constitution and dissolving parliament soon. Many people are worried and frustrated. Some support the court’s decision, hoping for fair politics. Others feel angry and fear more instability. Protests have happened in cities, with people calling for peace and a quick solution. This political uncertainty is hurting Thailand’s economy. Investors are cautious, and the currency is weaker.

Pray for the spirit of reconciliation and the spirit of oneness among the leaders in Thailand. Pray for the end of the political crisis and restoration of stability in the country (The Holy Bible, Job 36:6).

Pray for the LORD’s intervention in Thailand to thwart the evildoers and their plans against the peace and stability in the nation. Pray for peace and justice to prevail in the country (The Holy Bible, Zechariah 2:8).
