Sudan is facing serious health problems with outbreaks of Cholera and Measles. Since June 2024, nearly 10,000 people have gotten measles in Darfur, with 35 deaths. Low vaccination rates, war, and supply shortages have exacerbated the situation. Cholera is spreading in many parts of Sudan, killing over 1,800 people. The war between the army and paramilitary forces has damaged hospitals and stopped clean water, making diseases spread faster. Many refugees live in crowded camps with poor sanitation, which increases the risk. Health experts warn that without vaccination and better prevention, the diseases could spread across the region. The UN says half of Sudan’s 60 million people need urgent help. Humanitarian groups call for ceasefires to allow aid and vaccinations. The country’s health system is struggling while war and violence continue.
Pray for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan. Pray for humanitarian aid, vaccinations, and other basic needs for all the people in Sudan, facing violence and uncertainty (The Holy Bible, 2 Kings 17:39).
Pray for the LORD’s healing power upon all the victims of the Cholera and Measles outbreaks in Sudan. Pray for divine protection and provision for all the Sudanese people (The Holy Bible, Psalm 107:20).
