Fighting between Sudan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Security Forces (RSF) has caused a huge humanitarian crisis for over two years. Violence is rising in El Fasher, North Darfur’s capital, where RSF fighters entered the city for the first time in over a year. Recent heavy fighting has caused civilian deaths and made the situation very unstable. In North Kordofan, insecurity forced 3,400 people to flee, with reports of at least 18 civilians killed and homes burned. The rainy season is making access to help harder, causing risks of floods and disease. Despite this, some displaced families are returning from Chad to West Darfur to farm. About 30 million people in Sudan, more than half the population, need urgent aid and protection. There is a strong call for safe access for aid workers and more support to help those suffering.

Pray for the end of the deadly conflict between SAF and RSF in Sudan. Pray for the LORD to restore peace, protection, and justice to all the innocent Sudanese civilians (The Holy Bible, Psalm 80:3).

Almighty GOD, we pray for the divine provision of resources and sustained aid for all the people in need in Sudan. We pray that no one, especially children, suffers for lack of healthcare, food, refuge, and other basic needs, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ (The Holy Bible, John 14:14).
