Fighting in Sudan’s west and center is worsening, causing serious harm to civilians. In the Darfur and Kordofan regions, there have been many civilian deaths, sexual violence, kidnappings, and looting. Both Sudan’s army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been accused of human rights abuses. Since the war started in April 2023, tens of thousands have died, and 13 million people have been displaced, including 4 million who fled abroad. Recent attacks on towns like El-Fasher in North Darfur have caused severe suffering. Civilians are trapped in conflict zones such as Dibeibat and El-Obeid, with the latter surrounded by paramilitary forces. Over 16,000 people have been displaced recently because of the violence, worsening an already serious humanitarian crisis. There is a strong call to protect civilians and hold those responsible for violations accountable.
Pray for the authorities to implement stringent measures to end the attacks on innocent civilians in Sudan. Pray for divine protection for all the Sudanese people, especially the residents of the west and central Sudan (The Holy Bible, Psalm 62:8).
Pray for the international authorities to take immediate action to end the conflict between the Sudan’s army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. Pray for the perpetrators behind the violence against innocent civilians, kidnappings, and looting to be brought to justice quickly (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:7).
