Saudi Arabia’s unemployment rate dropped to a record low of 2.8% in the first quarter of 2025, down 0.7% from the previous quarter and the same time last year. Labor force participation rose to 68.2%, driven by efforts under Vision 2030 to boost jobs and economic growth. Among Saudis, unemployment fell to 6.3%, while participation reached 51.3%. Saudi women’s participation increased to 36.3%, and their unemployment dropped to 10.5%. Saudi men’s unemployment rate also fell to 4.0%. Most unemployed Saudis are open to private sector jobs, long work hours, and commuting. The number of Saudis registered for work rose to 2.92 million, with most in the private sector. The total number of workers in the country, including non-Saudis, increased to 12.8 million. Saudi Arabia continues to use digital tools like Jadarat to support job seekers and match them with available opportunities.

Pray for the success of the Saudi Arabian government’s efforts to eliminate unemployment. Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to create more job opportunities for the increased workforce in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 121:1-2).

Praise GOD for the increase in women’s participation in the Saudi workforce. Pray for gender equality in all sectors in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 46:5).
