The House of Saud is the royal family that rules Saudi Arabia. It started in the 1700s with Muhammad bin Saud. The country of Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932 by Abdulaziz Al Saud. Since then, his sons and grandsons have ruled. The family is very rich and powerful, mainly because of the country’s oil. Today, King Salman is the ruler, and his son Mohammed bin Salman is the crown prince. The family is very large and has thousands of members. One member, Prince Alwaleed bin Khalid bin Talal, was known as the “Sleeping Prince.” In 2005, he had a serious car crash while studying at a military college. He got a brain injury and went into a coma. He stayed in a coma for more than 20 years. His family took care of him all that time. On July 19, 2025, he died at the age of 35. His death made many people sad across Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.

Pray for the Holy Spirit of GOD to console the House of Saud, who are grieving the death of Prince Alwaleed. Pray for them to have a chance to hear about Jesus Christ, the Healer of the spirit, soul, and body. Pray for the Holy Spirit of GOD to open their hearts and minds to be approachable for the Gospel (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 53:5).

Sovereign LORD, break the chains of religious oppression in Saudi Arabia. Let Your Kingdom come, and Your Will be done in the country, in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen (The Holy Bible, Matthew 6:10).
