Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s driest countries, with very little rainfall and scarce water in rivers and lakes. Both green water (soil moisture) and blue water (surface water) are extremely limited. Despite this, Saudi Arabia has become a global leader in managing water resources. Between 2020 and 2023, its water management score improved from 57% to 83%, due to strong government planning under Vision 2030. The National Water Strategy combines 10 programs focused on policy, emergency planning, research, and innovation. Since then, the country has doubled drinking water production, storage, and nearly tripled water reuse, providing clean water to almost everyone. Privatization and big investments support innovation and efficiency. Saudi Arabia leads the world in desalinated seawater and works on recycling wastewater and using it for farming and mining. These efforts show how careful planning can turn severe water scarcity into a chance for growth and future success.

Praise GOD for the success of the efforts of the government to tackle the water scarcity in Saudi Arabia. Pray for the provision of clean water to all people living in the country (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 20:18).

Lord Holy Spirit, open the eyes and minds of the unreached people in Saudi Arabia for the Truth. Make them thirsty for the ‘Living Water’ (The Holy Bible, John 4:10).
