A Syrian government committee says over 1,400 mostly Alawite civilians were killed in sectarian violence in coastal regions in March’2025. The report blames armed groups loyal to the former Assad regime but says there’s no proof military leaders ordered the attacks. The committee identified 298 suspects, arrested 37, and confirmed serious crimes like murder, torture, and looting. Many victims’ families say the report doesn’t tell the full truth and fails to deliver justice. Survivors feel unheard and want real accountability. Rights groups say families were targeted based on religion. The violence happened after Assad’s fall in December, raising doubts about the new government’s ability to control tensions. At the same time, new fighting erupted in Suwayda between Druze and Sunni groups, killing hundreds and displacing over 128,000 people. A ceasefire has calmed the area, but the Suwayda violence remains under investigation and outside the committee’s scope.

Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to combat the violence against innocent civilians in Syria. Pray for divine protection upon all the civilians, especially the Syrians who live in the coastal region of the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 82:4).

Pray for the perpetrators behind this violence to be made accountable for their evil acts. Pray for justice and peace to prevail in Syria (The Holy Bible, Psalm 140:12).

Pray for the Love of GOD to supernaturally fill the hearts and minds of the people in Syria to end the discrimination in the name of religion. Pray for the peaceful coexistence and harmonious living together in their homeland (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 31:24).
