In Bhutan, Christianity is not officially recognised, and all citizens are assumed to be Buddhists. Converting to Christianity is viewed with suspicion, and converts often face pressure to return to Buddhism. Since no churches are registered, Christians meet secretly in homes, but these gatherings are considered illegal and risk punishment. Believers also face discrimination from local authorities, who may deny them essential documents for jobs, loans, property, and ID renewals, leaving many Christians vulnerable and marginalized.

Abba Father, we pray for Christians in Bhutan who face pressure and rejection for their faith. Surround them with Your protection and give them courage to stand firm. Lord we ask You to open doors for religious freedom in Bhutan. May authorities act with fairness and justice, and may Your truth be known. In Jesus’ name. Amen (The Holy Bible, 2 Corinthians 3:17).

Father, bless the small fellowships meeting in homes. Let Your presence strengthen them and may their faith grow stronger each day. In Jesus’ name. Amen. (The Holy Bible, Matthew 18:20).
