In June 2025, the violent attacks in Benue State, Nigeria, killed more than 200 Christians and left thousands displaced. Islamist militants armed with weapons attacked villages overnight, killing families and burning homes, food supplies, and shelters. Survivors explain how they lost their loved ones and had to flee without taking anything with them. Most now live in deplorable conditions in makeshift tents at an international market, where space for sleeping, food, and medicine is very scarce. Hunger is the largest issue. Some have been assisted by local aid workers, but more than 9,000 individuals are still in critical need. Survivors are crying out to survive the trauma left behind by the attacks. They urgently need food, shelter, and prayers as they try to rebuild their lives. The situation is still desperate, and additional assistance is desperately required to enable the victims to recover and remain alive.

Almighty GOD, we plead for Your miraculous provision of all the needs of the victims of violent attacks in Nigeria. LORD, we lift our eyes to You, the most available Help in times of need (The Holy Bible, Psalm 121:1-2).

Pray for the Nigerian government to take immediate action to protect the innocent civilians from the attacks of the evil-doers. Pray for divine protection upon all the civilians, especially Christians, in the country. (The Holy Bible, Ruth 2:12).
