Leaders from Europe and the Middle East have welcomed a new peace proposal from the United States aimed at ending the war in Gaza. The plan calls for an immediate stop to fighting, the release of 20 living Israeli hostages and the remains of others in exchange for hundreds of detained Palestinians, and full humanitarian aid into Gaza. It also includes steps toward rebuilding Gaza and forming a future Palestinian state, with a temporary local government overseen by an international body. The Hamas currently in control of Gaza is told it cannot govern in any form. Israel has agreed to the proposed peace plan but warned that if Hamas in Gaza rejects it or fails to follow through, its military campaign will continue. Some leaders praised the plan as a real chance for peace, urging all sides to agree. Others warned that any lasting solution must include a complete withdrawal from Gaza and the creation of a Palestinian state. Meanwhile, the war has already caused tens of thousands of deaths, widespread destruction, and deep suffering for civilians.
Pray for all the leaders involved in the peace talks to end the war between Israel and Hamas. Pray for cooperation and unity between them for the welfare of the people in the region (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 29:11).
Pray for the success of the proposed peace plan to end the war. Pray for the immediate and safe return of all the remaining Israeli hostages (The Holy Bible, Psalm 7:1).
