Morocco celebrates Youth Day every August 21 to honor its young people, who make up nearly one-third of the population. Moroccan youth are skilled, connected, and full of energy, involved in innovative farming, tech startups, and cultural projects. However, youth unemployment is very high, 36.7% for ages 15–24 and over 61% for university graduates. Many students also drop out of school each year. The government has programs like Intelaka and Forsa to help young entrepreneurs, but these only reach a small part of the youth. Problems like bureaucracy and poor links between education and jobs slow progress. Morocco needs a strong system that offers better education, vocational training, real funding, creative spaces, and more regional opportunities. The “Youth Pass” program is a good start, but more support is needed. Young people are already shaping Morocco’s future and must be given trust and leadership roles to help the country grow.

Pray for the success of all the efforts of the government to rejuvenate the education system and to curb the increasing number of school dropouts in Morocco. Pray for an improved education system in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 127:4).

Almighty GOD, we pray for the wise counsel for the authorities to build a strong, skilled workforce in Morocco. LORD, empower all the youth in the country to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 16:3).
