Mongolia: A Mongolian delegation, headed by Gerelmaa Davaasuren, the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Swiss Confederation, is attending the 113th Session of the International Labor Conference. During the conference’s plenary session, Ambassador Davaasuren delivered a speech highlighting the government’s policies and initiatives aimed at promoting decent work, reforming labor laws, and enhancing occupational safety and health standards. Mongolia has conducted a thorough review of its labor laws and institutional framework. In this regard, the country is working to strengthen its labor inspection system, update regulations on occupational safety and health, and eradicate all forms of forced labor.
- Lord, we pray that the initiatives and policies promoted by the Mongolian government under Ambassador Gerelmaa Davaasuren’s leadership will be effectively implemented, leading to improved labor conditions and occupational safety for all workers in Mongolia (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 16:3).
- Lord, we pray for the eradication of forced labor in Mongolia and for the protection of vulnerable populations. May the government’s efforts and the support of the international community lead to justice and dignity for all workers (The Holy Bible, Psalm 82:3).
