MALI: Malian officials have detained around twenty soldiers who are suspected of trying to overthrow the current ruling junta, which took control of the country in a coup. Among those arrested is a senior general. These actions happen as dissatisfaction grows within the army and instability continues in Mali. The military government had promised to restore civilian rule by March 2024.
