Dozens of Malaysians protested outside the U.S. embassy in Kuala Lumpur over the nomination of Nick Adams, a controversial influencer, as U.S. ambassador to Malaysia. Adams, known for his “alpha male” image and social media posts critical of Islam and supportive of Israel, sparked outrage in the Muslim-majority country. Protesters called on the U.S. to reconsider, saying his views are offensive to Malaysia’s multicultural society. Protesters urged the government to reject Adams under international diplomatic norms. Adams’ nomination has not yet been confirmed but is expected to pass in the U.S. Senate. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the government will consider the matter carefully to protect ties with the U.S., while also defending national dignity.

Abba Father, grant wisdom to both nations in handling this sensitive situation. Let peace and mutual respect guide their decisions, that their relationship may not be harmed ( The Bible, Romans 12:18).

Lord, we pray for harmony in Malaysia’s diverse society. May voices of peace rise above division, and may all leaders act with fairness and understanding (The Bible, Ephesians 4:3).
