Kuwait: Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah of the Family and Childhood Affairs Ministry emphasized the ministry’s commitment to protecting children’s rights and strengthening family awareness through comprehensive programs based on holistic care and global child rights standards.
She highlighted the Alternative Mother Program, where trained supervisors in childcare centers provide emotional and psychological support. She also mentioned the Juvenile Care and Rehabilitation Program, which helps at-risk youth through education, skills training, and counseling, aiming to reintegrate them into society.
Dr. Al-Huwailah stressed the importance of proactive prevention, including awareness campaigns and counseling programs for families and schools, to promote positive values and prevent juvenile delinquency.
- Lord, we thank and pray for the initiatives being taken to safeguard the rights of children and enhance family awareness through the programs outlined by Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah. We pray for Your divine guidance and support for these programs, that they may continue to flourish and effectively nurture the children in our society. May the hearts of those involved, including the trained supervisors and counselors, be filled with compassion and love as they care for these precious children (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 22:6).
- Lord, we pray for Your protection over at-risk children and youth who may be vulnerable to delinquency. We pray for the success of the Juvenile Care and Rehabilitation Program, that it may help guide these children towards positive paths and healing. Fill them with hope and the knowledge of their value in Your eyes, as well as instill in them the skills needed to reintegrate into society successfully (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 29:11).
