JAPAN: Japanese narcotics agents have taken 1.046 tons of cannabis, valued at around 5.2 billion yen ($35 million), in the biggest single drug bust in Japan’s history. The Narcotics Control Department of the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare arrested three Vietnamese nationals for supposedly smuggling the cannabis, which was hidden in a shipping container and found at a material yard in Tochigi Prefecture. These three individuals now face charges for breaking the narcotics control law.
- Lord, we pray for justice and that the legal proceedings against the individuals involved in the drug smuggling will be conducted fairly and justly, ensuring that justice is served appropriately (The Holy Bible, Amos 5:24).
- Lord, we pray for restoration of the communities affected by drug trafficking, asking for healing and restoration for those impacted by drug abuse and violence associated with narcotics (The Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 10:13).
