Israel has bombed Syria again, killing a Hamas member in the south near a UN buffer zone. This is one of 61 attacks Israel has made in Syria this year. Earlier, two rockets were fired from Syria into Israel, the first since Assad’s fall. Two small groups claimed responsibility. Israel blamed Syria and hit southern Syria in response. Syria’s Foreign Minister condemned Israel’s attacks, saying they harm Syria’s stability and help outlaw groups. Syria says it wants peace and rebuilding, not war. Recently, Syria and Israel held indirect talks to reduce tension. But Israel continues bombing Syria’s military sites and has controlled the Golan Heights since 1967, gaining more land after Assad’s removal. Syria’s new government is gaining international acceptance after the US and EU lifted sanctions, helping the country recover from years of war.
Pray for friendly relations between Syria and Israel. Pray for an end to attacks between the two nations. Pray for the leaders of both countries to find a peaceful solution to end the conflicts (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 16:7).
Pray for the destabilization of terrorist groups that are working underground in Syria. Pray for peace and justice to prevail in the nation. Pray for the LORD to thwart all their evil plans against the reestablishment of peace and stability in the country (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 24:6).
