Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran on 13th June’2025 (last Friday), hitting over 100 important targets, including nuclear and military sites. Several senior Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists were killed. Iran’s Natanz nuclear site and a research center in Isfahan were damaged. Iran responded by firing missiles at Israeli cities, killing at least 14 people and injuring many more. Cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa were hit, and a power plant caught fire. Israel continued strikes on Tehran over the weekend, saying it had gained control of the skies. Iran warned that it would attack U.S., UK, and French bases if they helped Israel. The U.S. said it did not take part in the attack, but its forces helped shoot down missiles. Iran’s leader promised strong revenge, and peace talks have stopped. Israel says it acted to stop Iran from building nuclear bombs. The situation is the worst between the two countries in years.
Pray for the LORD’s intervention in the Middle East region to end the chaotic situation. Pray for wise counsel and oneness among the international leaders to work towards peace and justice in the region (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:9).
Pray for divine protection upon all the civilians in Israel from attacks. Pray for the authorities of Israel and Iran to come forward for the peace talks to find a solution to end the violent attacks between the nations (The Holy Bible, Psalm 46:9).
