As of June 18, 2025, Iran has conducted several missile strikes against Israel, the fifth day in a row of conflict. The strikes have hit major cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, killing at least 24 civilians and injuring more than 600. Even with Israel’s sophisticated defense systems, such as the Iron Dome, some Iranian missiles have managed to get through defenses and destroy buildings in residential areas and other key infrastructure. In return, Israel has accelerated its military campaign against Iran, targeting nuclear and military installations. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have gained air superiority over Tehran, allowing for incessant attacks on vital targets with little resistance. The situation is volatile, with continued exchanges of fire. The upsurge has caused major civilian losses and mass displacement, with concerns over the humanitarian cost and the extent of wider regional instability.
Pray for peace between Israel and Iran. Pray for the international leaders to take immediate action to end the conflict between the two countries (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:9).
