Gaza: Mediators are ramping up their attempts to negotiate a new ceasefire and a deal for the release of hostages in Gaza, but talks with Israel are currently at a standstill. These remarks were made as US President Donald Trump stated that “significant progress” has been achieved since the conclusion of the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran and that a deal between Israel and Hamas is “very close.” On Wednesday, Israeli strikes throughout Gaza resulted in the deaths of at least 45 Palestinians, some of whom were trying to access aid. Additionally, the Israeli military reported that seven soldiers lost their lives in a bombing attack.
