Child malnutrition in Bangladesh is a critical concern, with nearly one in four children stunted, 22% underweight, and 11% suffering from wasting. Poor dietary practices such as lack of exclusive breastfeeding and insufficient food diversity further aggravate the issue. This malnutrition crisis negatively affects children’s health, learning, productivity, and contributes to a national economic loss of nearly $1 billion annually. The issue is cross-sectoral, requiring joint efforts from government, civil society, and the private sector. Interventions must begin from pregnancy and include proper feeding, hygiene, sanitation, and immunization to ensure healthy growth and future national development.

Abba Father, we lift up the children of Bangladesh who are suffering from malnutrition. Lord, provide them with the food, care, and nourishment they need. Heal their bodies, protect their growth, and restore their strength. Let no child go hungry or be deprived of the essentials for healthy development. In Jesus’ name, amen (The Holy Bible, Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we pray for collaboration among government leaders, civil society, and the private sector to address the crisis of child malnutrition. Raise up advocates and champions who will speak up and take action for the voiceless. In Your mercy, Lord, bring lasting change. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 82:3).
