A ferry carrying 65 people sank near Bali, Indonesia, on July 3, 2025. The boat, KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, left East Java’s Banyuwangi port but sank soon after due to bad weather. So far, six people, including a three-year-old boy, have died, and 29 survivors have been rescued. About 30 people are still missing. Rescue teams paused their search later that evening because of poor visibility. Many rescued passengers were found unconscious after drifting in the ocean for hours. Families at the port are worried and desperate for news. Indonesia often faces boat accidents because many vessels are overloaded and don’t have enough safety equipment. The government is responding quickly to this tragedy. Similar disasters have happened before, including a ferry sinking in 2018 that killed over 150 people.

Pray for the implementation of more stringent regulations in Indonesia to safeguard the safety of the people from boat accidents in the future (The Holy Bible, Psalm 22:19).

Pray for the LORD’s comfort for the families of all the deceased victims. Pray for divine protection upon all the people from such accidents (The Holy Bible, Psalm 119:76).
