In Yemen, Houthi officials arrested nearly two dozen United Nations employees after storming a UN center in the capital, Sanaa, in their latest attacks. The arrested personnel are both Yemeni and international workers from such agencies as the World Food Programme and UNICEF. The Houthis also confiscated communication devices from the center. This is all part of an increasingly intense crackdown on UN and aid organizations operating in territory held by the Houthis, who blame the workers for spying on behalf of Israel and the United States, which the UN denies. Over five dozen UN employees have now been detained at various times. The UN has denounced the arrests and demanded they be released immediately, stating such charges are perilous. Yemen has been at war for more than a decade, causing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Millions of Yemenis rely on aid to live, and these arrests make it more difficult for aid organizations to carry out their crucial work. The UN keeps attempting to resolve the issue as quickly as possible to safeguard its employees and reinstate access to assist those in need.

Father GOD, we pray for justice and unconditional release for all the imprisoned aid workers in Yemen. We pray for divine protection for all the aid workers in the country. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 17:13).

Sovereign LORD, we pray for Your divine intervention in Yemen. Let Your justice and peace dominate in this country against all suppression from man and the evil one. In the Majestic Name of our Savior, Jesus Christ’s Name, Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:7-8).

Jehovah Jireh, we pray for uninterrupted aid service for all the Yemeni people in need. LORD, we pray for Your divine provision for all the families in Yemen during this helpless time (The Holy Bible, Psalm 68:10).
