Türkiye’s unemployment rate dropped to 7.7% in December 2025, the lowest level in more than 20 years. About 286,000 fewer people were without work, bringing the total number of unemployed to 2.73 million. The biggest improvements were among women and young people. Women’s unemployment fell to 10.5%, while youth unemployment for ages 15–24 dropped to 14.1%. The government says this success is linked to a new youth employment program launched in January 2026. The program covers the first six months of wages for young workers and offers training with a daily stipend. Although overall unemployment is falling, the number of young people who are not in work, education, or training (NEET) is still high at nearly 7 million. Officials aim to bring 3 million young people into the workforce over the next three years. Experts say the program helps reduce joblessness, improve skills, and strengthen Türkiye’s labor market for the future.

Praise GOD for the drop in the unemployment rate in Türkiye. Pray for continued effective measures by the government to end unemployment, especially among the young people, in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 127:4).

Pray for the young graduates to have access to more job opportunities in Türkiye. Pray for the LORD to bless these young souls with hope and a bright future (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 29:11).
