Fighting between Thailand and Cambodia has spread along their disputed border, causing many deaths and forcing thousands of people to leave their homes. On December 8, 2025, Thailand carried out airstrikes on Cambodian military targets after both countries accused each other of starting new attacks. At least one Thai soldier died and several others were wounded, while Cambodian officials said that at least four civilians were killed and many more were injured by shelling. The clashes destroyed a fragile peace agreement that had been signed earlier this year. Families on both sides of the border have fled their homes and are now living in temporary shelters, while children and the elderly face danger from ongoing fighting. The violence has made farms and villages unsafe, and many people are struggling to find food, water, and medical help. The situation remains tense, and there are fears that the fighting could continue and affect even more civilians in the coming days.
Pray for both the Thai and Cambodian authorities to adhere to the ceasefire agreement continually. Pray for the peaceful end of the border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia (The Holy Bible, Psalm 46:9).
Pray for the LORD’s comfort upon the families of the deceased victims. Pray for divine protection and peace for all the people living in the Thailand-Cambodia border areas. Pray for divine provision for all the families in need (The Holy Bible, Psalm 17:8).
