In Tajikistan, strengthening forensic and ballistic expertise is becoming very important for national security and criminal investigations. With support from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre, the country has received advanced forensic equipment to improve its capabilities. In November 2025, high-precision digital comparison microscopes were delivered to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These tools help experts carefully examine bullets and cartridge cases, making it easier to trace firearms used in crimes and terrorism. The new equipment also supports the development of national ballistic databases, improving how evidence is stored and compared. Officials in Tajikistan have highlighted the need for continued cooperation, better laboratories, and stronger technical skills to face new security threats. These efforts are part of a wider international project aimed at stopping illegal arms trafficking and terrorism. By improving forensic systems, Tajikistan can strengthen its justice system, support fair trials, and improve safety and stability across the country.
Pray for the success of all the efforts of the government to curb illegal weapons trafficking and terrorism. Pray for an improved security system in Tajikistan and its neighboring countries. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 127:1).
Pray for divine peace and protection for all the people in Tajikistan from all evil. Pray for the lawmakers to implement stringent laws to curb the terrorists’ activities in and through Tajikistan (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:15).
