In Sudan, the army chief, General Abdel‑Fattah al‑Burhan, has rejected a proposed ceasefire from international mediators, including the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. He stated that the plan would weaken the army, dissolve the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), and allow the rebel paramilitary group, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), to retain control of certain areas. Al‑Burhan criticized the UAE for supporting the rebels and making the proposal unfair. He said any truce must first require the rebels to withdraw to specific locations. He stressed that Sudan wants peace, but it must be on its own terms and cannot accept conditions imposed by foreign powers. Fighting continues in the country, leaving civilians in danger and many families without homes, food, or safety. The general insisted that Sudan will defend itself while still seeking a solution that protects the nation’s sovereignty and security. The situation remains tense and uncertain.

Pray for a breakthrough in the ongoing war and its ceasefire talks, which will lead to lasting peace and stability in Sudan. Pray for the LORD’s love and wise counsel to supernaturally fill the hearts and minds of the leaders involved in the conflict and peace talks to find a solution without partiality (The Holy Bible, Judges 6:23-24).

Pray for the LORD’s comfort and strength for all the people affected by the war. Pray for the LORD’s healing and restoration power upon them to heal the deep wounds caused by the war and restore their lives and livelihoods. (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 30:17).
