Violence in Türkiye is rising and becoming more visible in public places. A new report shows incidents increased sharply in 2025, with many attacks now happening between strangers instead of within families. Men are responsible for about ninety-five percent of cases, showing a strong link between violence and social ideas about masculinity. The major reason for this rise is the weakening of social trust, where people begin to see others as threats and react defensively. This fear, combined with pressure on men to appear strong and dominant, often leads to aggression. Guns also make violence more deadly, turning conflicts into fatal events. Some regions like Sanliurfa and Adana are seeing large increases in cases. Experts suggest improving public safety, controlling weapons, and promoting education that teaches emotional control and respect. Long-term change requires reshaping ideas of manhood and rebuilding trust so people can resolve conflicts peacefully without fear or harm.

Pray for wise counsel for the Türkish authorities to address the root causes of the increased violence among the civilians. Pray for justice and peace to prevail in Türkiye (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:3).

Pray for divine peace and protection for all the people in Türkiye, especially those in the Sanliurfa and Adana regions. Pray for the love of the LORD to supernaturally fill the hearts and minds of the people in the nation to end violence and to bring reconciliation and restore harmony (The Holy Bible, Psalm 109:26).
