A new report shows incidents increased sharply in 2025, with many attacks now happening between strangers instead of within families. Men are responsible for about ninety-five percent of cases, showing a strong link between violence and social ideas about masculinity. The major reason for this rise is the weakening of social trust, where people begin to see others as threats and react defensively. This fear, combined with pressure on men to appear strong and dominant, often leads to aggression. Guns also make violence more deadly, turning conflicts into fatal events. Some regions like Sanliurfa and Adana are seeing large increases in cases. Experts suggest improving public safety, controlling weapons, and promoting education that teaches emotional control and respect. Long-term change requires reshaping ideas of manhood and rebuilding trust so people can resolve conflicts peacefully without fear or harm.
