A recent study published in BMC Geriatrics looks at food insecurity among older people in Thailand. The research explains why many elderly people struggle to get enough healthy food. Thailand has a fast-growing aging population, and this problem is becoming more serious. The study found that low income is one of the main reasons seniors cannot afford enough food. Many older adults no longer work and depend on small pensions or family support. Physical problems, such as poor mobility or chronic illness, also make it hard for them to shop or cook. In addition, seniors who live alone often face social isolation, which increases their risk of hunger. Without strong family or community support, they may skip meals or eat less nutritious food. The study shows that better social programs and financial support are needed to protect elderly people from hunger and improve their quality of life.

Pray for the authorities to come up with creative ideas to protect elderly people in Thailand and to improve their quality of life. Pray for increased income for the people in need in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).

Pray for divine provision of food, clean drinking water, and other basic needs and rights to all the people, especially the elderly population in Thailand. Pray for the LORD’S Presence and Love upon all the elderly people, especially those who face social isolation (The Holy Bible, Psalm 92:14).
