Inflation rose to 3.55% in November 2025, driven by continued increases in both food and non-food prices, according to the National Statistics Bureau. Food inflation was the main contributor at 4.67%, with notable rises in food and non-alcoholic beverages, while non-food inflation reached 2.75%, led by higher costs for clothing, restaurants, health services, and transport. Prices also increased month-to-month, showing that household expenses continue to rise steadily. Urban areas, especially Thimphu, experienced the highest inflation, placing pressure on salaries and living costs, while rural households were slightly cushioned by local food production. Persistent price pressures are straining household budgets and raising concerns over affordability and future economic stability.

Heavenly Father, You see families struggling as prices rise and incomes remain the same. Provide daily bread for every household and help people meet their needs with dignity and hope. Amen (The Holy Bible, Matthew 6:11).

Lord, grant wisdom to those responsible for economic and policy decisions. Guide them to act with fairness and compassion, protecting vulnerable families from the weight of rising costs. Amen (The Holy Bible, 1 Kings 3:9).
