State media reports that dozens of new rocket launchers were displayed ahead of the meeting, which Kim described as “wonderful” and “attractive” and capable of carrying nuclear warheads. The weapons are said to use AI guidance and advanced targeting systems. The congress will also set new construction and defense projects, and officials are expected to discuss strategies to protect North Korea from outside threats. Experts say the country’s new rockets could reach all of South Korea and nearby regions. Kim’s sister, Kim Yo Jong, has emphasized the need to strengthen border security. The congress will guide North Korea’s decisions and policies for the next five years and show the government’s future priorities.
