Around four million people have had to leave their homes in the Sahel region of Africa because of violence and danger. Many live in Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, and nearby countries. Thousands of families face dangers from armed groups, making everyday life unsafe. Many people who flee end up in overcrowded camps or relocate to other areas, but there is often little help available. Women and children suffer the most, facing risks like violence and lack of basic needs. The ongoing fighting has also led to the closure of schools and health centers, leaving many without access to education or medical care. Food shortages and climate problems make things worse, as people struggle to find water and food. The United Nations and other aid groups require more support to help the many displaced people in Niger and across the Sahel.
Pray for divine protection and provision for the internally displaced people in Niger and across the Sahel region. Pray for them to have access to all their basic needs and rights (The Holy Bible, Psalm 141:8).
Pray for the authorities of Niger and other countries in the Sahel region to take action to end the violence against innocent people, especially women and children in the area. Pray for humanitarian aid support for all the people in need across the region (The Holy Bible, Psalm 74:19).
