In Morocco, young people have been protesting for more than two weeks. A group called GenZ 212, made up of online youth, asked people to hold peaceful sit-ins in many cities on 18th October’2025. They want the government to change how schools and hospitals work. They also want less corruption and help with the high cost of living. The protests started after eight women died during childbirth at a hospital, which made many people very angry about the poor health care. Most protests have been calm, but some nights saw violence. Sadly, three people have died, and over 500 protesters were arrested. Before the king spoke to the parliament, the protesters took a short break. The king said he wants to help young people find jobs and improve health and education. But he did not talk about the protests. The young people are still asking the government to listen and make changes for a better future.
Pray for the Moroccan government to take action to initiate peace talks with the protesters. Pray for the peaceful end of the protests across the nation. Pray for the authorities to expedite the implementation of the promised reforms in the country (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:9).
Pray for the immediate and unconditional release of the imprisoned protestors. Pray for an improved health and education system in Morocco. Pray for the government to create more new job opportunities for the young population in the country. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 37:6).
