Millions of people in South Sudan are facing a serious hunger crisis. Almost half of the country’s population may not have enough food in the coming months. In some areas, thousands of people are already living in extreme hunger and cannot find enough to eat. The crisis is caused by ongoing fighting, heavy floods, people being forced to leave their homes, and difficulty getting food and aid to those in need. Children, women, and the elderly are especially at risk. Many children under five are malnourished, and pregnant or breastfeeding women are also in danger because they cannot get enough food. Without urgent help, including food, clean water, and medical care, many more people could suffer or die. Humanitarian aid is urgently needed to save lives and prevent the situation from worsening.
Almighty GOD, You are the GOD of Restoration. We plead Your divine intervention in the desolate land of South Sudan. Breathe Your Life once again into this land and rebuild the lives and livelihoods of all the South Sudanese people (The Holy Bible, Joel 2:25).
Pray for the LORD’s intervention in South Sudan to end violence and bring stability to the nation. Pray for open doors for aid workers to deliver essential services to those in need without hindrance (The Holy Bible, Psalm 46:9).
Pray for divine provision for the millions of people, especially women and children, facing a severe hunger crisis in South Sudan. Pray for haven, food, clean drinking water, healthcare, etc., for all the people in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 57:1).
