Religious freedom in Brunei is very limited, and the government gives special importance to Islam, which is the official religion. People who are not Muslims, such as Christians, Buddhists, and others, face many restrictions. They are not allowed to build new churches or temples easily, and only old churches from before 1984 are officially recognized. Non-Muslims are also not allowed to share or promote their religion. The government controls religious activities and makes sure Islamic rules are followed. Muslim women are expected to wear the tudong, especially in schools and government offices. All students, including non-Muslims, must study Islamic religious lessons in school. The government also censors religious books and media and limits celebrations like Christmas. Although there is no open violence, non-Muslims feel social pressure to follow Islamic customs. Overall, the government strictly limits religious freedom, and Islam has a strong influence over education, culture, and daily life in Brunei.

Pray for the Bruneian government to ease the restrictions on non-muslims in the nation. Pray for more freedom of religion and freedom of Worship in Brunei. Pray for divine protection upon Christians in the country. (The Holy Bible, Psalm 141:8).

We declare deliverance and spiritual revival in Brunei, for there is nothing impossible with our LORD. (The Holy Bible, Matthew 19:26).
