Israel’s attacks on Lebanon have created a very serious and growing crisis. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said the country is facing a “war of attrition” because Israel is carrying out repeated and almost daily airstrikes. These strikes mainly target Hezbollah members and their positions, but many civilians are also being harmed. A recent attack in southern Beirut killed five people and injured twenty-eight others. The Lebanese Health Ministry reports that at least 331 people have been killed and 945 injured by Israeli fire since the ceasefire agreement in November 2024. Salam warned that the situation is getting worse and called for more Arab and international support to stop the violence. He said Lebanon needs help to prevent further escalation and to protect its people. The government is trying to mobilize diplomatic pressure to force Israel to stop the attacks and to reduce the rising tension across the country.
Pray for the international authorities to take immediate action to end the violent attacks in Lebanon. Pray for peaceful and friendly relations between Lebanon and Israel. Pray for the Israeli authorities to uphold the ceasefire agreements (The Holy Bible, Psalm 34:14).
Pray against the stronghold of Hezbollah and other terrorist groups, attracting enmity and spoiling the peace of Lebanon and its neighboring countries. Pray for the end of terrorism in the Middle East region (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 24:20).
Pray for divine peace and protection upon all the innocent civilians in Lebanon from all evil. Pray for the LORD’S comfort and strength for all the families of the deceased victims (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 43:2).
