King Abdullah II of Jordan and Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid met in Amman to strengthen economic, trade, and investment cooperation between their nations. Discussions at Basman Al-Zaher Palace focused on advancing joint electricity projects, improving trade flow, and easing cross-border movement of goods and people. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability, state sovereignty, and peaceful solutions in the Middle East. They also voiced strong support for Palestinian rights, calling for an independent Palestinian state and emphasizing the need to maintain the Gaza ceasefire while preventing further Israeli escalation in the West Bank. King Abdullah urged greater Arab coordination for humanitarian aid to Gaza and warned against attacks on Jerusalem’s Islamic and Christian holy sites.
Abba Father, bless Jordan and Iraq as they build economic and trade partnerships. Let these initiatives bring prosperity, fairness, and opportunities that lift families and strengthen communities. Amen (The Holy Bible, Philippians 4:19).
Lord, we pray for peace, safety, and relief for the people of Gaza and the West Bank. Protect the innocent, bring justice to the afflicted, and guide leaders to uphold truth and compassion. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:9).
