The Iranian-backed group Hezbollah fired rockets from Lebanon into Israel for a second day, pulling Lebanon deeper into the war between Israel, the US, and Iran. Israel responded with heavy air strikes in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and parts of Beirut linked to Hezbollah. Lebanese health officials said dozens of people were killed, and many families fled their homes. The fighting followed the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. Hezbollah said its attacks were in response, but many Lebanese leaders criticized the group for risking another destructive war. The Lebanese government has called on Hezbollah to stop its military actions and give its weapons to the state. After a devastating conflict in 2024, many people in Lebanon fear more destruction. Israel says it wants to remove the threat from Hezbollah, while the future of the conflict remains uncertain and dangerous for civilians.

Pray for the LORD’s intervention in Lebanon against the political unrest and escalation of violence. Pray for divine protection for all the civilians in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 34:17).

Pray for the spirit of reconciliation and the spirit of oneness among the leaders in Lebanon to end the uprising war situation between Lebanon and Israel. Pray for the end of the violence and restoration of stability in the region (The Holy Bible, Psalm 82:3).
