In Laos, many children and teenagers are forced into sex work by some Korean men. Older men, often over 50, stay for weeks or months in bars, clubs, and brothels looking for young girls. They share photos, videos, and messages online to organize this exploitation. Some men even seek girls as young as seven. Drugs are also involved in these places. Activists and researchers say this problem is organized and growing. Many Korean men rent apartments for long stays and use YouTube or chat apps to find victims. Official numbers show hundreds of children suffer, but the real number is likely much higher. Korean authorities and online platforms have done little to stop it. This situation puts children at great risk and shows the urgent need for action to protect them.
Pray for the authorities of Laos and its neighboring countries to take immediate action to end the exploitation of girl children in Laos. Pray for the implementation of more stringent laws to make the perpetrators accountable (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:16).
Pray for divine protection upon all the girl children in Laos from evil-doers. Pray for the LORD to deliver the little souls trapped in this sexual exploitation and heal them both physically and psychologically. Pray for a safe and brighter future for these children (The Holy Bible, Psalm 142:5).
