The education sector in Sughd, Tajikistan, is facing many serious problems that need quick attention. During his visit, President Emomali Rahmon said that many schools in the region are in poor and unsafe condition. He explained that 54 school buildings are dangerous to use, and 32 others need major repairs before students can study there safely. Because of a lack of space, four schools are forced to operate in three shifts each day, which makes learning more difficult for children and teachers. The president also pointed out that vocational schools are old and must be modernized so students can learn useful skills for future jobs. He stressed that improving school buildings, updating equipment, and creating better learning environments should be a top priority. According to him, strong education is important for the region’s development, and local officials must work harder to fix these issues as soon as possible.
Pray for the authorities in Tajikistan to prioritize equality and quality education for all the children across the country. Pray for the quality reforms and resources for the schools to serve their communities in effective ways (The Holy Bible, Job 12:23).
Pray for all the children in Tajikistan to have access to quality education and a better learning environment. Pray for improved educational infrastructure for all public schools across the nation (The Holy Bible, Psalm 68:10).
