A drone attack by Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has killed at least 24 people, including eight children, after hitting a vehicle carrying displaced families in North Kordofan. Doctors said the families were fleeing fighting near the Dubeiker area when the attack happened close to the city of Er Rahad. Among the dead were two infants. Several others were injured and taken to hospitals that already lack basic medical supplies. The attack came as fighting between the RSF and the Sudanese army continues across the region. On the same day, a drone strike also hit a World Food Programme aid convoy, killing one person and destroying food meant for people facing hunger. Aid groups and lawyers called the attacks war crimes and urged the international community to act. Sudan’s war, which began in April 2023, has killed tens of thousands and forced millions from their homes. Many parts of the country now face famine, disease, and extreme hunger, especially among children and vulnerable families.

Pray for the LORD’s intervention in Sudan to thwart the evildoers and their plans, and to protect all the civilians in the country. Pray for the divine provision for all the displaced Sudanese families (The Holy Bible, Zechariah 2:8).

Pray for the LORD to raise up bold mediators to bridge the divisions to end the conflict in Sudan. Pray for the warring parties to turn away from violence and pursue lasting reconciliation (The Holy Bible, Psalm 37:8).

Pray for the LORD’s love and comfort to fill the hearts and minds of the victims of the war crimes in Sudan. Pray for the LORD’s healing power upon them to heal them physically, psychologically, and spiritually (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 41:10-13).
