In Saudi Arabia, Christians face extreme persecution. All citizens are considered Muslims, and Islamic law is observed. Apostasy from Islam is illegal and can lead to the death penalty, although there have been no executions in recent years. The construction of churches is banned, and thus, converts must practice their faith in secret. If discovered, they can be abandoned by their families, beaten up by them, or persecuted by the government. Most Christians in Saudi Arabia are foreigners who face tough circumstances, persecution, and abuse due to their low social class or ethnicity. They are not allowed to propagate their faith and will be arrested and deported if caught. Converts from Islam are especially vulnerable, as their families can turn violent against them. Foreign Christians are also restricted and are not allowed to construct churches. In 2025, some Christians were deported, and a house church was closed down. Although there have been some recent changes, there is still discrimination against Christians in terms of laws, education, and employment. Christians live in isolation and fear, practicing their faith in secret to avoid persecution.

Praise GOD for the ‘Body of Christ’ in Saudi Arabia. Pray for the LORD’s strength, encouragement, and perseverance for all the believers in the country to stand firm for their faith and to be a living testimony of Christ for their families and friends (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:13-16).

Pray for more freedom of religion in Saudi Arabia. Pray for the non-believers to have a miraculous and life-changing encounter with their Savior, our LORD Jesus Christ (The Holy Bible, Acts 9:1-9).
