More than two years after a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Morocco killed nearly 3,000 people, many villagers in remote areas are still living in tents and facing cold, snowy conditions. Aid workers from Frontiers Mission International (FMI), along with a local ministry leader, have been delivering clothing and supplies to these hard-to-reach communities. Security challenges have made travel difficult, especially because of the team’s Christian affiliation, but they have found ways to continue their work. While most people in these villages are Muslim, some parents say they follow the religion only by tradition. The ministry team has been able to share simple messages about the Gospel and build relationships slowly. Villagers are now asking for more visits to learn and talk. FMI asks for prayers for the ministry leader’s safety, wisdom, and boldness, for safe travel on dangerous mountain roads, and for the villagers to have open hearts to hear about Jesus while recovering from the ongoing impact of the earthquake.
Lord Holy Spirit, open the eyes and minds of the unreached people in Morocco for the Truth. Make them thirsty for the ‘Living Water’. (The Holy Bible, John 4:10).
Pray for the LORD to rebuild the lives and livelihood of the people struggling with the aftermath of the earthquakes in Morocco (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 33:7).
Pray for more spiritual fruits and gifts for all the missionaries working among the unreached people in Morocco. Pray for the Heavenly Wisdom and Protection for them to share the Gospel with these villagers, as well as the other unreached people groups in the country, in more effective ways (The Holy Bible, Acts 4:24-31).
