Brunei has 24 different people groups. Nine of these groups, about 38 percent, are still unreached by Christian churches. Five groups, or about 21 percent, are considered frontier unreached, meaning almost no Christian outreach reaches them. Out of a national population of around 459,000, about 290,000 people belong to unreached groups, and about 266,000 live in frontier unreached communities. Christians make up roughly 8.2 percent of the population, and Evangelicals about 4.2 percent. Life is very difficult for Christians in Brunei. Converts from Islam face serious pressure and legal risks. Many Christian communities are not allowed to register as churches and must register as secular organizations treated like businesses. They must report their finances and activities to the government every year. Because religious laws are strict and Christian outreach is restricted, many unreached groups have little or no contact with Christian teaching. These communities remain largely untouched by the Christian faith.

Pray for the Bruneian government to ease the oppression by religious laws that hinder Christian Worship and religious outreach activities. Pray for the end of religious oppression in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 9:9).

Pray for the freedom of Worship for all the believers in Brunei. Pray for the LORD to open the door of faith to the unreached in the country. Pray for the believers to share the Truth with their neighbors boldly (The Holy Bible, Acts 14:27).
