Bangladesh’s dengue outbreak continues to worsen, with four new deaths and 1,143 new hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). This brings the total death toll to 263 and total infections to 65,440 in 2025.
Currently, 2,733 patients remain hospitalized nationwide, including 930 in Dhaka. Most patients (61.7%) are male, and fatalities have affected both genders nearly equally. Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives, making this year’s toll a serious public health concern.

Abba Father, we lift up all those suffering from dengue in Bangladesh. Bring healing to their bodies, strength to their families, and wisdom to the doctors and nurses caring for them. Let Your healing power flow through every hospital and home. Amen (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 17:14).

Lord, we pray for families grieving the loss of their loved ones. Wrap them in Your peace and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted. May Your comfort and presence fill every hurting heart. Amen (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:4).
