Christians in Israel face different kinds of pressure depending on their background. Most Christians are Arab Christians, and many say they feel like second-class citizens because they are both Arab and a religious minority in a Jewish state. They are also a minority among Arab Muslims and feel more isolated as religious tension grows. Many live in limited areas, such as Nazareth, Bethlehem, and Gaza, and access to holy places like Jerusalem is often restricted. Attacks on churches, cemeteries, and Christian property increased in 2023, including vandalism and threats. Some Christian groups are not officially recognized by the government, which means they cannot perform marriages, funerals, or other legal religious services. Messianic Jews face protests, property damage, and legal problems because of their faith. Converts from Muslim or Druze backgrounds often face strong family pressure and sometimes violence. Despite these challenges, Israeli leaders have publicly condemned attacks and promised to protect religious freedom.

Almighty GOD, the Scripture says that You shall never permit the righteous to be moved. We claim this Verse for Your people in Israel. We pray for You to sustain them and their faith as they face persecution in their homeland (The Holy Bible, Psalm 55:22).

Pray against all religious discrimination in Israel. Pray for freedom of religion and freedom of Worship for all the people, especially believers, in the country (The Holy Bible, Luke 1:37).
