Police arrested 388 suspects in a large-scale operation against online gambling syndicates following raids on 17 business premises and homes across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Penang. The operation targeted individuals and companies believed to have developed back-office systems, online gambling platforms, and promotional materials aimed at victims both locally and internationally. Those arrested included 236 men and 152 women, aged between 20 and 48, with eight foreign nationals among them. Authorities seized equipment used for online gambling operations, along with two luxury vehicles—a Lamborghini and a BMW—and several luxury watches. The suspects have been remanded for further investigation. Seven investigation papers have been opened under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 and Section 120B of the Penal Code for criminal conspiracy. Police stated that enforcement efforts against unlicensed gambling will continue, including scrutiny of officials and organizations involved.
Heavenly Father, protect families and individuals from financial harm and addiction linked to gambling. Restore stability and wisdom in households. Lord, grant discernment and fairness to authorities as they pursue justice and uphold the law. Amen (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 2:6).
Lord, touch the hearts of those involved in wrongdoing. Lead them toward repentance, integrity, and new beginnings. Lord, let justice prevail over unlawful activities. Expose hidden wrongdoing and establish integrity in every system. Amen (The Holy Bible, Luke 8:17).
